Although trained and practicing as an architect, I find the relative immediacy of making ceramics and working with textiles both complementary and creatively rewarding. Having said that, each made piece is essentially 'slow' in its production, going through many processes and involving recycled material as its source.

 

There is a connectivity between all aspects of my work with the house in France enshrining many of these in its essential simplicity. The interior displays my passion for colour and textiles and provides an apt setting for my hand thrown ceramics.

 

There is certainly a ‘mid-century’ feel to my ceramics and textiles – the latter being 'vintage' in origin, segwaying into the repeating iconic motifs of my own designs.
